At the New Leaf Learning Centre we offer one-to-one help in many areas and levels of literacy. The times are chosen to be convenient for both our volunteer tutors and the learner. TUTOR TRAINING

Saturday, October 15, 10-5pm.

Learn ways to help others read, write and learn computer basics. Helping others is the key to a long and fruitful life; literacy is also the key to success in all aspects of life. Join our team of dedicated volunteers to help our community. Please call to register.

WORKSHOPS

Specific topics are chosen as the community need arises. We respond to suggestions to enlighten, educate while enjoying the process – have fun!

  •         MUNZER STORY KITS  

Saturday, November 19, 1pm -4pm.

A chance to enhance your storytelling to the children in your life.  Success BY Six had donated the very popular story kits which you can enjoy painting and then take home. Works well in any and all group setting. Please call to register.

  •         TOASTMASTER’S CLUB

Mondays, starting September 19, 12:05-12:55pm

Bring your lunch and enjoy improving your public speaking skills in a fun and informal “Toastmaster-style” gathering. Prepare to have a laugh and keep the brain cells growing!

This is a special time to start your new life with the computer! We'll start with Word and Internet lessons going at your own pace. Please call to register.

This time is set aside for “newbies” to ask questions and become familiar with the age of access. Come with questions and receive the help you need to become computer independent!

All programs will be held at the New Leaf Learning Centre. (except the Nuxalk Language Class)
